This week and next, your students will be taking part in “Hour of Code,” an exciting movement that teaches ALL students that they can be computer scientists and code experts. It’s free, and there are TONS of appealing games that show students the very basics of computer coding and commands. The ability levels of each game range from pre-readers (little brothers and sisters can join in!) all the way up to 12th grade, and feature engaging themes from popular movies and games, such as Minecraft, Moana, Frozen and Angry Birds.
Visit https://code.org/learn to see the fun games available! This is an awesome way to build our kids’ confidence in the computer sciences (especially our young ladies)!
